CONSOLEWD not importing Raingauge from OWWNOGUI

Hi everyone,

I’m just putting my station back together after moving over ten years ago.

I’ve followed all of the instructions to build Simon’s OWW and are using OWWNOGUI to produce the output file for ConsoleWD to pickup as per
Why no 1-wire? but ConsoleWD just isn’t picking up the rainfall reading that its being presented.

I’ve edited config.txt to tell WD to pickup the OWWfile.

The output from OWWnogui is

23.91 , 58.45 , 15.26 , 1017.14 , 0.00 , 22.50 , 26.16

(temp, humidity, dewpoint, barometer, windspeed, winddir, rain in mm)

and this is what ConsoleWD outputs

Current data 17:27:54: Temperature= 23.9C, Windspeed =0.0 Gustspeed =0.0 Direction =22 Humidity=57 Barometer=1017.1 Daily Rain=0.00.0.in, Monthreading in OWW file=0.0 Rain Rate 0.0.in/hr Solar 0.0w/m2 UV 0.0

Does anybody know where i’m going wrong ?

Best regards

Simon.

Fixed it -

I don’t understand why, but oddly enough it was just a permissions thing.

I’d noticed that customclientraw.txt etc wasn’t updated, so chown : on all the files in consolewdfiles to be the current user fixed that, and then the raingauge started reporting too…

So my 20 year old 1-wire weather station lives again. I reckon there will be a lot more folk moving to raspberry PI’s, with the current cost of Electricity, running a PC has turned expensive.

Cheers
