Clientraw.txt updating intermittently

Hi

I’m having a few weird problems on my Rasperry Pi, updating the clientraw.txt file. The file does appear to update intermittently - for example I noticed the update was about 40 mins apart, and other times I have seen it update every minute.

From the screenshot, you can see what is happening. The other files all seem to update properly, except for the clientraw.txt file. You can even see that the gw1000.txt file gets updated

On the logging side, I can see that the gw1000 cron job is run, but it often doesn’t seem to pick anything up - often = over a period of minutes. So my current theory is that the problem sits with the cron job, and that if it picks up no info it will write that info to the appropriate files EXCEPT the clientraw.txt. Would that make sense?

TBH Setting up my GW1100 has been the most frustrating part of getting my new Ecowitt station to work

Any other ideas for this one?

Cautiously stating I think this one is sorted. Made a few more changes and it’s been reasonably stable for the last 7 or 8 hours. If it’s still good tomorrow, I will let you know what fixed it

Yup - all good now

What fixed it? Not 100% sure. The last things I did were the following:
(a) Cleared all the entries in the config.txt file that related to my old Davis Vantage Vue setup
(b) for the first time I managed to configure the wifi connection from my phone, and not from my laptop. Not sure if this made any difference whatsoever, but I do note the setup instructions says setup from your phone only

Anyway it’s sorted . Yay. Setting the GW1100 up has been a nightmare! I do have my site showing data AM instead of PM. Suspect I know where that is, but I’m in no hurry to reconfigure my GW1100 just yet!
