Thanks Steve. Now have to get the rest of the images to work. I had to put the current conditions icon in the root dir to get it to work instead of having them in the of ajax-images dir. I suspecting I will have to do the same for the sun and moon phases. Is there a way to get this so they are in the ajax-images dir instead of cluttering up the root dir
the only quick fix i made for the curent conditions icons was to create a folder inside the ajax-images folder called images(this folder I use for all the other images for the cell script) then another folder for current for the current images and then changed line 1106 onwards in the cell_ajax-dashboard script to read this
Thanks for all the help, still not working right. Changing cell.html to cell.php brings up the cell-demo page with no data. I think I’ll have to wait till meercat can do the easy installation he talked about earlier.
Phil
Only issue I’m having now is the moon and moon phases icons. I have everything in the ajax-images dir and also have it in /ajax-images/moon/b and /ajax-images/moon/w directories but can’t seem to get it to show
I got everything sorted out now. In order to get the current moon phase to work I had to put it into the root dir. Not really wanting it here as would rather it in the ajax-images dir. I will play around with it later but at least got it working. Will move onto the forecast page in the near future. Again thanks for all of your help Steve.
Would you be wlling to wrap up what you have and post it or email it to me? I have no clue how to get this to work and I have beat this thing to death.
I think the big problem is that the cell.html should be cell.php as most peoples servers dont parse a html file as php unless it has been set up that way. The other issue is the keymatch issue which again depends on your server setup. The other stuff is just a path issue for the other files and images.
Hope all this bashing about in the last couple of pages resolves most peoples issues
Only real problem I am having is getting the moonphase image to work… or show.
I just cannot seem to get this portion to work. Any guidance in this area is appreciated.
The moonphase is looking in http://www.k3jae.com/NH-moon00.gif so the images need to be in the root of the pages not ideal but have not found a way round the problem.
So I cheated on this one and just used this url instead removed
I imagine you would not mind if people started using your conditions icons on their websites because you already have a set, and they don’t need to bother setting up their own?
Right?
edit: Removed links
That is why many say that Hot Linking is not cheating but rather stealing of bandwidth.
