Can't get SFTP working after moving to new pc

Hi,

I recently moved WD to a new PC as per the instructions in the following post: http://discourse.weather-watch.com/t/10888. However for some reason since moving to the new PC both clientrawrealtimeftp.exe and ftpupd.exe both give the following error:

Exception EiphSFTP in module clientrawrealtimeftp.exe at 00220413. 271: The certificate store could not be opened (0x80070057).

The Windows 10 event log shows:

I was able to upload data to the server on my old PC without any problems and no settings have been changed therefore I’m left at a loss as to what is going on.

Has anyone else encountered this error or knows how to fix it?

Many Thanks,

Ross

Unfortunately Kernelbase errors aren’t always easy to debug. Are there any significant differences between your old and new PCs, e.g. operating system version, installed anti-virus software, different weather station type (I know you didn’t say that you’d changed that but I thought I’d ask!), etc.

Hi,

Thanks for your replay.

The OS versions and weather station are the same and the default anti-virus software included in the OS was used.

The SSD was transferred from the old PC to the new one after backing up the WD folder and a fresh install of Windows 10 was performed. The old PC was an Intel 7th Gen NUC and the new one is an Intel 10th Gen NUC. The WD registry entry was backed up and installed on the new PC.

What happens if you connect using the same credentials from an ftps client?

Stuart

Have you tried re-installing WD over the top of the existing installation?

When trying to connect using FileZilla I have no problems and no error messages.

After reinstalling Windows 10 I copied the Weather Display folder back on to the SSD and then installed the latest copy of WD to the same directory.

I just created a new .ppk file and this appears to have fixed ftpupd.exe. But not clientrawrealtimeftp.exe which is still giving the same error.

i assume you have allowed those programs though you firewall on your new computer

I’ve just double checked and added clientrawrealtimeftp.exe to the allowed apps on windows firewall but still the error appeared.
