Campbell Scientific Loggers & WD

Assistance required please
With the CampbellSci loggers, the PC208w software creates a .dat file that WD reads and converts to the log file. It appears that WD reads the last line of the .dat file only. If there is a power outage, the logger keeps logging ok, but when WD is started up, it only reads the last line of data. Is there a way WD can be configured to go back and reread the .dat file at the stage where the power went down?
I am currently using Ver 10.23c with no problems. Keep up the good work

it is possible, but would take a bit of work…as how is wd to know how many lines of data to read?
i.e is the data time stamped, etc?
i guess if the data was new every minute, then wd would know it was missing x number of minutes and use that

then problem is i dont have much time before i head to the UK…

Brian,

Is this problem solved?

I’m sorry - I don’t know. But this is noteworthy in that it must presumably be close to the record for resurrecting an old thread - about 6 years I make it!
