Bug Recreating Daily graphs in Graph History?

There seems to be something odd in the Graph History module.

I am trying to recreate the daily graphs 20110317.gif to 20110323.gif using the Graph History module, by saving each daily graph to “savedgraph.gif”.

As a check I tried to recreate one I already had: 20110316.gif. So under Set Day/Month/Year I entered 16,3,2011 and a graph was loaded into the history window - but not a graph that looked anything like the one WD had created automatically (20110316.gif). Also when I pressed “Load” button with the same date set, I got a totally different graph - but this also wasn’t anything like the 20110316.gif I already had.

In fact to recreate the same graph as WD had originally created as 20110316.gif, I had to make Graph History produce a graph for 15,3,2011 (a day earlier); but of course that graph is labelled as 15th March 2011 and not 16th March 2011 (see attached graphs).

Is there a bug present here, or am I doing something wrong?

PS Brian - is it possible to add the Sunrise & Sunset lines to the graphs recreated by the Graph History Module?

Can anyone else confirm this weirdness?

I know it sounds a bit complicated but I’d be grateful if someone could check whether this “Graph History” modules is working properly for them.

I have the same behavior and Brian’s answer is :

the graph from graph history is correct for the day selected (you should see that same data in the logfile) for the date stamped daily graph file, that is the 24 hour period prior to the day on the title I think that is where the confusion is

Seems then, as if the date stamped daily graph files are date stamped incorrectly - if they are showing the 24 hour period prior to the day stamped on the title that is just misleading, if they were stamped with the actual day being shown then they would match the graphs generated by graph history, and there would be no confusion.
