Brrr!

I know it’s not cold by North American standards but, here on a Mediterranean island, 2.2° C at 04:30 this morning does seem a little parky. Yes, we have had it a lot colder, down to about -3° C at sea level on odd occasions, usually in February.

Would you like us to send you some snow?

No, thanks! I’m about 300 m up and we have had two or three snowfalls here in the 25 years I’ve been living here, just sprinklings. At the moment, I believe the Troodos ski resort has opened with about 30 cm on the runs; https://en.wikipedia.org › wiki › Troodos_Mountains - this a tad under 2000 m and a good half hour drive from the sea for those who want to ski on both snow and sea in the same morning!

-27 here last week
