Brian - Multiple issues with new build :(

Brian,

I am still testing WD for MAC and I have been making progress I thought … over the weekend I was left with only two issues…

It would flatline occasionally and when I restated the MAC, clientraw wouldn’t automatically get created until I went back into Real time FTP and clicked to create the cleintraw files.

So this morning I loaded the new version and now I am seeing more problems

  1. My copy now say Registered … before it was a trial version … I am running WD registered on my PC and at one stage I had the MAC version configured to get the data from the PC via internet sharing … when I did that it also said registered but went back to trial when I selected a weather station but now it’s always registered
  2. I have a WS-2310 connected to the MAC version of WD … when it starts the outdoor temp says the correct temp (23 C at the moment) but after a few minutes it reads 19.5 C and never changes … even after restarting the MAC or restarting WD
  3. It doesn’t create clientraw until I go into Real Time FTP and click to start … I don’t FTP my data as I am running a local server and I have the box ticked to not FTP as I have local server

The MAC can read the data fine from the WS2310 via weathersnoop, however I also can’t seem to get WD to talk to Weathersnoop so WD station is configured as WS2310 and I selected the USB driver (and I turned off Weathersnoop so there is no conflict).

for 1: , its now free (as too many people wanted refunds)
2:the mac version is not optimised for the 2310 type station
3:you should have that box ticked (but then do not set any ftp upload times)

Brain, thanks for making it free … if i get it working I will definitely be paying for it, even if I have to buy another PC licence :slight_smile:

I am still unable to get clientraw to start automatically on restart using your advise above.

In Connections I have “Use WDs own FTP” unticked and “Use ftpup.exe anyway” ticked. I also have Dont use FTP as I have my own server ticked. I don’t have any upload times set. The only way to get it working is to click start now from real time FTP manually
