Big, big, crash

This afternoon (local 16:45), after changing the webfiles location to a folder other than wdisplay/webfiles, WD has gone completely crazy: now, I have an atmospheric pressure of 1144.0mb, and the values of temperature, wind, humidity, dewpoint, etc. are exactly the same as at 16:45. On the screen, winrun and heat index are flashing…
Is there anyone who can help me to solve this thing? And to repair so much entries in the log, what will be the best way?

Thanks
H

hi
sounds bad
first, check that the weather station type is still correct
and check the barometer offset
but i suspect is happening is the new web files folder locaiton might be cuasing an error: check under view, program error log

re the logfiles: you should be able to edit the main log file, 82004lg.txt
then do a convert logfiles, to graph files
also, there should be a back up made of the main wdisplay.ini file
(done by WD every day)
check for that ,wdisplayinibackup.ini

Hi, Brian

Yes, it was bad, indeed. I tried a lot of different solutions, the ones you gave me too, but finally I had to install it again, after reparing the log file. There was no other way, as WD never got to load the actual values, but the values “hanged”. There’s no doubt it happened because of the changing of webfiles directory, but I had to do it as I want to put a webcam video stream on my page, using not the usual web server, but my own computer, Abyss Web Server and a re-direct service. Now I think I am close to have it done.

Thanks a lot
Cheers

If you have to move the locations again try the following.
Switch off the main internet switch (this will preventing to write to any file which might be open) then changes the location.
If nessecerealy you can copy the old files to the new location, just overwrite the files already in there.
Turn on the main internet switch and you should be up and running.
I have did this a couple of times already and had no problems.
