Beta test of upcoming new PwsDashboard-LTS version

After 4 years, at November 15, there will be a beta release of the > 60% new coded PWS_Dashboard release.

The demo can be visited at https://pwswd.be/pwsdash/index.php.
It currently shows a blue background and KISS “gauges”.
Every so many days I will adept the settings to test / show different possibilities.

BETA-testers are more than welcome.

All beta-testers need to use WeatherUnderground for graphs-data.
There are still problems to be solved for the "my_data"graphs

There will be a separate and restricted-access discussion area for beta-testers on this forum.
The beta-test messages are only interesting for a few users so better keep them separate and readable by the testers only.

Edit 2024-11-15
All PWS-dashboard or pwsWD users can join the beta program.
You need to have some debugging skills and some spare time.

Thanks for your support,
Wim

For beta testers:
When sending the mail, please include the following information

  1. Your current PWS_Dashboard website link
  2. The hosting company you are using
  3. Extra sensors you use on top of the live-data file, f.i. Boltek Lightning sensor.
  4. If possible also your e-mail address

If there are severe problems during testing, it is sometimes easier to take a look myself at your web-server.
To be sure, make an extra user/password FTP account with restricted-access to the pwsdash/ folder. Before the beta-test code is installed.

Thanks,
Wim

Nice theme :grinning:

For all live-data types one can now join the beta-test:

  1. If you are already running a pwsWD/ website
    and
  2. you are uploading your weather-data also to WU

→ Please join the beta test as you can run the new version adjacent to your current version (separate folders!)

IMPORTANT: The graphs need your weather-data at WU.
Currently the beta does not support the optional local graph-data.

If interested, sent me a forum message and include the following information

  1. Your current PWS_Dashboard website link
  2. The hosting company you are using
  3. Extra sensors you use on top of the live-data file, f.i. Boltek Lightning sensor.

Thanks,
Wim

Where can we download the new beta-test version.
Thank you
Marian

One can not directly download it yet, that will be possible in December as the release is nearly finalised.

Currently, check my previous post, you need to sent a message to me containing the 3 items to join the beta-testers group.

I will then unlock the “private beta-test” part of this forum for you.
That forum-part has the download-links, explanations and discussion topics for the beta-testers.

We decided to “hide” this part of the forum, otherwise there will be a very large number of messages each day which are only of interest for the beta-testers.

My problem is that I am over 85 years old and speak French, which is a handicap because I don’t understand some of them,
I have to use google translator, the translation is not always adequate and I end up laughing, jokes on the forum.
But I’m trying and in part I managed to put other weather stations in pws format:

Davis Vantage - ON - Canada Home Weather Station (wd version)
Weatherflow - Toronto Home Weather Station (wf version)
Ambient - Toronto Home Weather Station (AWapi version)
Ecowitt HP2564 -Toronto Home Weather Station (ecoLcl version)
Netatmo(in progress) - A city in Canada Home Weather Station (wu version)

The source is from https://www.wunderground.com/dashboard/pws/ITORON291.
My case is atypical for the pwsGW1100 page because I inserted many things that were not in the template.
I can’t get data from the extra sensors from the GW1100.
I mention that I also have the ECOWITT Wittboy Pro Weather Station HP2564 (High Park Village Weather Station - Ecowitt weather station)
As can be seen in the ./ecowitt directory, the data is not updated in the same way demodata as in the old fashioned time.

Current PWS_Dashboard website link : Toronto Home Weather Station (wu version)
The hosting company you are using : Dreamhost.com
Extra sensors you use on top of the live-data file (915MHz):

  • Lightning detector sensor Model H57
  • Wireless multi-chanel Thermometer & hygrometer sensor Model WN31 (CH1)
  • Wireless Self-emptying Rain Gauges sensor Model WH40
  • Indoor Air quality Model WH43

extra_sensors.txt (641 Bytes)
settings.php.txt (5.4 KB)

OOPS

Chris solved the problem, all should work now.
