BATTERY VOLTAGE TEXT COLOUR & POSITION

Hi
as the title says, how do you alter the text colour of custom labels and their position?

Running WD on a Mac Pro.

Keith

is this on WD or WDL or?

B.
WD

Keith

is this then for on the WD main screen or a custom screen, or?
(the more information you can provide the better)

Brian
for the custom screen. i have added the battery voltage command so this is displayed, in order i can check the state of the battery. when displayed, the text is black in colour, and does not show too well, also the position is at the bottom of the current conditions window, which again is difficult to move.

still a bit confusing
I think you mean when you say custom screen, you are actually refering to adding custom tags to the main WD screen
and not a custom screen

you can manually set the position of that custom tag , in the wdisplayftp.ini settings file
e.g
[main screen custom]
customlabel11 x=

etc

(when WD is not running)
but its easier to set those settings in the windows version (and then use those settings from an exported wdisplayftp.reg file from that windows version)

Brian
i have installed WD in Parallels and then adjusted the position of the data as i require. i have then saved to backup. from there, how do i import the file into WD on the Mac?

Keith

you would need to export the windows registry entry in WD via action, back up windows registry entry
and then in the wdisplayftp.reg file, you will find those main screen custom section (open that file with a text editor) and copy that out and into the mac wdisplayftp.ini (overwriting that section there) (when WD is not running(

Brian
back to the position of custom tag position. have tried a few times, but understanding which way x,y,xx and yy move the tag. can you give a little more detail and I should be able to work out to move. also, when I adjust the values, they seem to revert back to the base settings, I am using text editor to adjust, and then saving the file once finished.

Keith

make sure to edit the ini file when WD is not running
the x is the width
the xx is the x axis position on the screen (0 is left most)

y is the height
yy is the y axis position on the screen (0 is top most)

Brian
that worked. one last question, how do you change text size and colour?

Keith

I am on a course all day today so I can not answer sorry
A Windows user might be able to tell you the registry setting for that
