Just downloaded WD, and going through set-up everything seems to be ok except I can’t get the baro offset to be recognised. I’m running a wmr928 through a skyview data logger. What haven’t I done right? :?
I don’t know if the data logger makes a difference, but if you’re reading the WMR928N directly in WD you need to set the baro offset to 61 plus whatever extra you need to adjust to get your local pressure to mean sea level. Mine is set to 63…61mb for the WMR928 and then another 2mb because of my height ASL.
Yes, I set the offset to 61 (how do you know how much to add for height asl?), then clicked the tick, but doesn’t seem to have saved the offset. I’ve tried it several times, but I can’t see what I’m doing wrong.
- Enter 61 into the data entry field
- click the Set button next to the data entry field
- Click the Save option
- Restart WD
If that’s not working then maybe you’ve found a bug.
Assuming you want to display a mean sea level (MSL) adjusted barometric reading, add 1mb on for each 10m you are above MSL. That’s not spot on accurate, but it’s close enough unless you live on top of a very high mountain!
Thanks, Chris, got it now!
