Aurora Borealis way south this week

I haven’t seen it yet but I’ve been on the lookout…

The AP has a great slideshow of pictures from many locations, it was coming up in a separate window on the Washington Post site this AM but I can’t find a direct link :frowning:

time for my story… i went out last night, like 15 min into the middle of the country. I didn’t see anything. Instead of going an extra half mile and turning around, i tried in the middle of the road. I managed to get my car stuck in a ditch and had to call a tow truck at 12:30 AM

i have tried to see them SO many times, and yet nothing :x

So that’s where all those votes went

What??? Auroras are caused by Black Holes at the centre of the galaxy? You’ve obviously made a major scientific breakthrough…get yourself onto TV quickly to explain it.

I will only talk to the Nobel committee

I’ve been lucky to see them quite a few times while living in Wynyard, Saskatchewan (Canada). One night in particular I remember them the most…my wife and I, were driving home from Saskatoon…just a few days before Christmas, it was about -25C and the whole sky was just full of light …it looked like a curtain waving in the sky. Good thing the roads are pretty long and straight (some places 20-30k without a turn). It was just amazing!
