Took down the weather station to check it after recording no rain in a storm.
Rain gauge was full of ants , little black fockers!
Cleaned it all up & tested ok but any one have tips on keeping them out . It’s up on a 4m pole so pretty high up.

had that happen…and spiders…nice dry and warm spot for sure 
Grease the pole? (Used to be able to get stuff to stop insects climbing fruit trees. . .)
In the US we only grease poles to keep Philadelphia Eagles fans off of them.

Yeah got dome of that , I also put a couple of ant baits in the actual rain gauge housing , it’s pretty big. Hope this does the trick .
