Thanks, Chris

Hi Chris,

Looking good. Looks like folks are keeping you busy, just like me…

You might want to edit the top of your post… Add an “o” after the “ll”???

Looking good…great job!

good work Chris, again!
the rotating globe with recent hits is cool

I agree.

Nice one Chris,

Nice. A question; is that being fed with a Davis WeatherPlug? Next year I’m going to add a station which will be more remote and will probably use a Davis, but right now I’m using VWS and I can’t see how WeatherPlug will work with that, so may have to completely change the way we report.

not sure I understand your question, but he has a davis vp2 weather station and is using weather display software.I alsouse the same setup on my own site.(davis vp2 plus Weather Display)

as for the folks who like the revolving visitior globe, it is free and you can get it here:

just click on top tab that says, get your globe.

Thanks for checking it out…Chris

I was looking more at the format of the site. I started looking at WeatherPlug the other day and the demo site seemed to use that same site format (which is apparently WD). I would like to be able to run the remote Davis without a PC resident, but would also like to keep something similar to my current layout in VWS.

hello…

well what jerry uses to be able to have a WD website and also a Cumulus Website, along with his weatherlink data running, and if he wanted a VWS style site is a program called VirtualVP. You can read about it here:

http://www.softwx.com/weather/virtualvp.html

it is cheaper than weatherplug.

hope this answers your question…chris

Great, thanks I’ll study up on it, at the moment I’m out the door on my way to Guadalajara for some shopping.

A very interesting piece of software to be able to run several PC’s with different output packages, however I have almost the opposite requirement. In the new remote location I don’t want to install a PC at all, so the Weather plug or IP Davis looks like the solution, but as I read it, they both upload to a server and there is apparently some capability to create at least a basic website. I need to get the data into a form that can create a more sophisticated web site like WD or VWS so I can match sites. So far I’ve not seen what the output of the WeatherPlug or Davis IP looks like. I suppose worst case is to upload to a server in a table, download back to the main PC here, process and create the website(s) and upload back to the Internet. Any thoughts appreciated.

The goal was, or is, to put in several sites along and around Lake Chapala for comparison reading and the new site would be the first unmanned site.
