Hi, I’m using WD 10.37S152. All of a sudden the program was reset, and none of my settings were there anymore, not even the weather station.
Is it any way of finding my settings and reinstall them?
That’s a common query. It can sometimes happen if WD is writing the settings and the computer crashes or reboots, e.g. to install updates. Try this - Recovering Weather Display Configuration
Thanks, that worked, except for this one:
- Restart Weather Display and it should start normally and download the missing data from your datalogger, if you have it set to do so.
How can I get the data from the datalogger manually? I had a good one fra Dec 31, so no data for January.
Hello Thunder,
You should have a backup file under “wdisplay”“databackup” a zip file “databackup12025.zip” with the logfile in it
OK, guess that is the file 12025lg.txt. What should I do with it?
I am running windows 10, so 1st thing i do is go to “Action” “import log file from other software” “convert WD log files to csv logfiles”
Then create a backup folder as 2025_1 for the month,
Then go to the “WD” folder “logfile” folder and copy any logfile data for that month into that folder before you edit any thing.
Then i check the 12025lgcsv.csv with the WD log file checker and look for any errors
Thanks for that. I have found the file and done the steps, no errors just a lot of data missing. Then must find ot how to replace the file and get the logfile data into WD.
Managed, and it worked out perfect. Thanks a lot, both of you!
