A tad on the damp side!

So, I know Lochaber is known for being a wee bit on the damp side but this is what the rain gauge on my weather station has recorded in the last 24 hours.
Add to that the 10mm which it recorded between when the rain started at 6pm & midnight on the 6th October, and the fact it’s still raining as I type, then I think this has to be a record for my weather station.

We’ve been lucky and just had a lot of rain today which has run away nicely, but I’m aware that others around here and in Argyll suffered landslides & flooding as a result of this weather system, with several villages currently cut off.
So I don’t think for a minute that 86mm is going to be the highest recorded rainfall for today, but it’s still a lot, even for here!

Wow! :astonished:

I got 41.6 mm for 7 October in Edinburgh (15 mm on 6th) and thought that was quite a lot. Of course, we were outside the amber warning area. . . but it’s still raining.
