30 Day rain is not changing

I am using Wdisplay,
I had a bit of an issue that the rain gauge got a bit too enthusiastic with collecting rain data… typical over-achiever stuff… wanted to become a rain gauge of the month type thing.

So basically every tip of the bucket got multiplied by 10.

I fixed all the records in WDisplay I think, as the month to date shows 102.9mm which is correct, HOWEVER when importing local data into WXSIMATE, the 30 consecutive days show 1784.9mm for the last 30 days… this is incorrect. I have no idea where it gets that from. I changed all individual records, I changed all logs in wdisplay, and did a search and the 1784.9 value does not exist anymore in the wdisplay logs.

It does show up in the wxsim localog (I think the file name was). I changed it in there and still the 1784.9 shows…

I think it is going to be with me for the rest of my earthly existence unless there is a wise individual on this forum who can point out on how to fix my issue

Thanks so much
H

Nobody?
Or is this a WD type question?

After you corrected the log files did you then convert to graph files
Which version of WD are you using
Screen shot of what wxsimate is showing may help

You would need to contact Brian to be sure, but I think WD internally uses the inf files in the datafiles directory to store data for itself to use, probably for a speed increase. Unfortunate that those files are not human readable and as far as I know only Brian knows how to decode them. Might explain what you’re seeing…

Yeah I looked at that… LOL… was all a weird thing to me… so back to the drawing board.

Yup done all that… been using WD for a while and it is not the first time it needs fixing… dispite all those steps… it still is not paying nice. It looks like it keeps the total year values…

I waited for the month roll over that sometimes fixes things… but no luck.

Back to the drawing board…
