I just noticed my weather web page was blank… after looking into the problem I found out I have hit my limit on disk space (10 megs) Any way to clean this up or stop sending the archival data to the website? I’m sure there is a tick / checkbox I have checked or unchecked so I’m asking here first instead of spending the next hour or two trying to find it myself.
my first isp webpage only had a limit of 5mb and as you found i soon went over the limit
even more suprising is that i moved to a host with 100mb and because i upload main and backup(custom) webpages that is no longer enough now on unlimited
I suspect they can only offer this because they know most users will never use their full quota of disk or bandwidth. I doubt if they have a sustainable business offering such large disk capacities and bandwidth allowances. You’ll also need to watch how many users they host on a single server. I reckon the server that weather-watch.com runs on could probably host 10-15 sites of the size of weather-watch.com (which isn’t huge and doesn’t use 800MB iof storage or anywhere near 125GB of bandwidth per month). I’ve heard of some companies cramming hundreds of sites onto a single server. That’s not a problem if they’re all 3 page personal sites, but stick a few medium sized sites in the mix and things won’t look quite so good!
