10.37f build14 ->ok now in build 15

For the last two days after booting pc my datalogger has not update between the hours of 3am to 10am.All data is lost between them times since installing bld14.

For instance when i turned off pc at 1am this morning and turned back on at 1730,hours from 1am-3am was logged and from 10am to 1730 only. This is the 2nd day in a row this has happened.

Any thoughts.

.zip and email me the vptemplog.txt file

Zip file sent Brian

Karl.

the file had data for times from 10:30 am to 1:30pm
check that the time and date on the console match the pc OK
also, when the extraction first starts, watch the time and date showing from the downloaded data, and see if that is concurrent

Yes Brian, but no data before 10am.

From 10am untill 1730 data was logged but nothing from 3am up to 10am.

PC time was 1 min faster than console and have corrected that but i dont think this is the problem as god only knows how long it has been a minute out.

Karl.

The third day now in a row this has happened since bld14 installed.

The extraction seem to stop between 3am and 4am and all data after was lost yet again.

I sort of having the same issue. Mine stopped responding last night and I tried to revert back to the time it stopped responding. It is going to 3:13 a.m. and stopping. I set it to start extracting at 12:33 am and extract to the present but it will not do that. My time is perfect between the computer and my console. I tried it 4 different times with the lastest full build and no luck.

Chuck

Does it work ok with build 13? Might be better to revert back until Brian returns…

I think that is what I was running but I am not sure Dan. Further troubleshooting it will only go about 3 hours at a time. I just had to do it three times to get it all caught up.

Chuck

hello

same problem with me

WD version, v10.37f 31 August 2007
Davis VP2 + weather envoy and datalogger

here my settings

for me The extraction seem to stop between 1am , i get manually => 3am 3am =>6am and all data after was lost yet again

a bad day begin

jf

did these problems just all of a sudden start with build 14?
I might have upset something (probably when I was working on the davis .wlk import improvements)

hello windy

for me i,ve many problems since two months with all build , some time after 1 or 2 weeks no data was extract after start my pc , and now with this build lot of problems every day

WD version, v10.37f 31 August 2007
Davis VP2 + weather envoy and datalogger

excuse my bad english , hope you understand me

jf

i think i might have upset set something with the data extraction routine (when I was copying code for the linux version)
there are other people reporting a problem starting with build 14
i am not sure why you are having problem in versions prior to that with the data extraction
make sure the date and time on the console matches the pc
thats the first thing

ok, but i do it date and time on the console matches the pc when apen the problem (every 1 or 2 weeks) and the settings looks good

and i don’t think time between pc and datalogger change on 1week during the pc is off just at 23h pm to 7h am
i use WD since december 2005

jf

Brian,i never had an issue with any other build.Problems have only occured since installing this(bld 14)

Again it has happened to day and also the date on extraction jumped from present date to 15/00/2007 which dont make a lot of sense.

Exctraction stopped at 0430 this time round.

Same here Brian it was either 13 or 14. But I believe it was build 14 that did it.

Chuck

until i can find what went wrong either:
a)use a version before build 14 (you should always back up your exisiting version before downloading a new one)
b) keep wd running all the time

Thats fair enough Brian.
Unfortunately i didnt back up this time round,so is there any way of me reverting back to bld13?

Karl.

Jax weather has available older versions of WD
do a search on the forum

i have found a few things i changed compared to a back up I had
i will run a test here, but I have updated the .zip download for you to test/try
thanks
