1-Wire lightning detector anf VP2

I have just put together a hobby-board lightning detector and would like to know if there are documented specific instruction on how to setup WD to make it work with my Davis VP2. am looking for where and what are all the setting that need to be configured?

I originally setup my Lightning detector while using a La Crosse station and then changed to a VP 2, this FAQ should help…

The station you use should make no difference.

Thanks Bob. Those directions seemed to work fine. Now all I need is a thunderstorm to see if it works! :smiley:

Use a Charcoal lighter to test… Even a Bic type lighter will generate the electrical signal needed, just hold it right next to your antenna and click a few times and then see what WD shows…

I tested before I ever took it outside, tested again when installed in final location and having just changed the battery tested again after I changed the battery :slight_smile: (Went two years on the battery but I would recommend changing yearly myself)
