Pulling my hair out trying to get wxtrends.php to populate correctly. So far no joy. I must of done something right on the 18th but since then screwed it up.

The latest version of the template only uses testtags.php, trends-inc.php is no longer required, so make sure you’re using the latest version of testtags.txt in your wdisplay folder.

I appear to be using Testtags.txt version 1.06

if I manually upload trends-inc.html, the wxtrends.php extension seems to update. But, only for the single time I ftp the file over. Looking at my log it looks like the file is being ftp’d within WDisplay to the site, but, looking on the site. No joy.

Version 1.06 is the most up to date version and includes all the data that used to be included in trends-inc.php, so now you only need to upload the one file.
There is a file called “trends-inc.php” included in the download but this should be uploaded to your website with the other web pages and left there. It is coded to take the data from testtags.php and show them on the wxtrends page.
If you upload the old version of trends-inc.php then this will over-write the correct one.

The easy way to correct it is to stop WD from creating & uploading trends-inc.php and remove trends-inc.txt from your WD webfiles folder.
Now, if you still have the original download files, look for the included trends-inc.php file and upload that to your website.
If this goes OK then wxtrends should work. If you don’t have the original files on your PC then download them again, un-zip into a new folder and then copy & paste the trends-inc.php from the download into your website folder and upload to your website.

Hope that helps and if you’re not sure about anything then just ask before you upload anything.

Still having no luck, but, I believe I have narrrowed it down to WD not uploading my testtags.php file. I’ve used another ftp program and the file gets updated. but, not within WD. Would anyone be so kind as to say exaxtly what needs to be turned on/off.

I have main Internet on. Custom Web page is set for special file 1; testtags.txt remote: testtags.php. (Testtags.php is current in c:\wdisplay\ )
I have file 29 being created / uploaded every 5 minutes.

Clientraw is being updated via realtime/client FTP. So, at least the main page is accurate.
