Sadly I ran into the same issue of resources again with my php script, specifically where the windows program not being able to open a display. So I need to find a resolution for that, increasing the max clients might be possible but it could be an issue with something else using all the clients although it has only happened since running Wine with WXSIM.
Needs more investigation.

Just letting you know you’re not talking to yourself. I’m following this with interest because I’m hoping to do the same as you at some point.
Thanks, I did hope others might be interested

Well another update. I have now managed to get WXSim running for each forecast automatically using a PHP script which now autostarts using a Konsole command to start the script which now has a shebang for PHP at the start and is executable. Seems to be running fine now.
The small PC now restarts from a power outage (rare here but does happen) and CumulusMX is running as a service as well so again starts on boot. Now due to a number of minor glitches I have not yet solved why after some days running it crashes unable to access a display for WXSim so no gui and no processing. Hopefully with no more glitches I can let it run long enough to recreate the problem and find a resolution.

How is your testing going?
I’m approaching the point where my WxSim Windows 11 virtual PC is the last thing on a server that I want to rebuild. I don’t have another place to run WxSim on Windows without running a laptop 24*7 which I’d prefer not to do, so the virtual PC will soon become the blocker to rebuilding.
If you’d like a beta tester I could be persuaded
I’ll give you some details later on what I’ve done. It all seems to work quitecwell except for one issue where it failed to get access to graphics, I’ve not been able to solve it yet as it only happens when it has been running for several days and I’ve had some power cuts unusual here but hey stuff happens!
