Hi guys,
which parameters do i edit to show my history weather data at http://www.meteocarmignano.it/wxhistory.php
Many thanks,
If you have files called “July2008.htm” on your server, which you do, then there are only two setting you need.
On the wxhistory.php page look for this:
// #######################
// # Begin settings
// #######################
# enter 4 digit year of your oldest report on your server - example: 2006
$startyear = 2007;
# Location of where the data files are located.
# You may need to change this and it must end with a slash.
# ./ is used if the files are in the same folder as your page with the dropdown list
$webdir = './';
// #######################
// # End settings
// #######################
The set the year that your records start, 2007 in my case, and where the files are located. In your case leave it as “./” and that should be it I think. The page seems to be working but it’s not picking up the July2008.htm file for some reason.
Hi Martin,
i’ve set the file in that mode but my page remain blank!
What’s wrong?
No idea, maybe try uploading the wxhistory.php file again in case it’s corrupted.
If that doesn’t work then can you copy your wxhistory.php file into notepad and attach it as a text file so we can have a look.
I think the issue is that your history pages like http://www.meteocarmignano.it/July2008.htm are in Italian instead of English.
For the World-ML template to work correctly, the pages produced by WD have to be in English and then are translated via the langlookup entries in the language-it.txt file into Italian. The wxhistory.php is expecting English phrases in the July2008.htm so it can find and properly parse the data in the file.
Best regards,
Ken
So i can’t show any history graphics?
Can i change my wd in english now?
If i change wd to english, does daily report translates automatically?
Thanks again,
Graphics will be shown when the [month][year].htm page is in English.
I think you can change your preference for language in WD at any time, then stop and restart WD.
After that, you’ll need to recreate the month files using WD, View, Average/Extreme, Recreate the web av/ext page TAB
Select the Year, Month to regenerate, and press Reset the web page averages/extreme then close the tab.
Repeat opening the Average/Extreme dialog, and select the new year/month to process.
Repeat for all the months.
Then manually upload the pages created [month][year].htm to your website.
Best regards,
Ken
