Had a power outage yesterday the the small computer I was using to run WD will no longer restart. I am going to replace it (already ordered one). Need to know how to get WD up and running on the new system. Keep in mind I can no longer copy anything from the old computer. BUT I was creating backups (databackup folder) to an external hard drive each month. So I have those to access. I have searched and found a few posts similar to what I am asking but not 100% the same situation. Can someone point me to a pinned thread or document someplace I can use to recover WD on the new system? Thnx
Opps not good when that happens…

That was one I saw. My concern was this statement "Now copy C:\wdisplay and all sub directories from the old computer to the new one ". Obviously can;t do that. But like I said I do have the backups
Last time I had a restart fail due to corrupted os I removed the hard drive and connected to a usb ide/sata interface plugged into a working unit and could read the files I needed
