After noticing more missing images from WU I’m starting to think it might be better to drop them as a source. Every time we include an external source we spend more time making corrections. Is it worth it? Life would be so much easier if we kept everything in house. We share our data with these entities and in return all we get are headaches.

The issue with dropping WU as a source means we’d have to rely solely on the NOAA/NWS sites since they are public-domain. The other weather outlets like weather.com (owner of WU), accuweather.com, etc. all have ‘no reuse’ in their Terms and Conditions of use. We have been allowed to reuse WU graphics (with attribution) if we contribute weather data to their system … a reasonable deal. So, if we drop WU, then it will be NOAA/NWS or nada.
