WS2500 Graph Problems

Hi Brian, I don’t know if its already been reported but something seems to be amiss with the graphs etc since about version 10.10s or so. I’ll provide a snapshot of what I’ve got now so you can see the problem…

Hi dotty
please try the latest version, as i have been working hard on the ws2000 and ws2500 type stations and I want to get them both working correct
and let me know
thanks

Hi Brian, hope your keeping well btw?
Thanks for that, I was on version d and that was still the same, I’ve downloaded j now which looks like its doing better so far, will let you know for sure in the morning.

hi
sounds promising so far
i have vers 10.12 k running OK here with the ws2500PC
I will try the ws2500 console next.
so i recommend downloading that one when its available in a few hours

I’m trying version l now. It was working pretty well up untill then even the daily averages/extremes seemed to be working better
I guess you already know but the thread title should be WS2500 not WS200

Aha you’ve cracked it, been running l for a few hours now and its running perfectly  Thanks Brian!

horray!
there was just a problem with the daily reset, but i have uploaded a new 10.12L to fix that…
and the day in the log file at the midnight change needs improving

you should have the solar working OK too
see under view, solar/uv real time graph
and you can even plot it on the main screen…see that option under the setup, graph setup…plot solar graph instead of indoor hum…and you can tick, plot blocked in
make sure you have the solar switch ON, under setup, control panel, solar setup, too, though
note ,the solar graphing plot on the main screen is not retrospective…

but its night time for you now, so you will need to do that for tomorrow

Hi
and the ws2500 solar is working percfect in a new 10.12n !!!
see

( but you need to set the max lux reading for bright sunlight, the default should be OK for starters, in the ws2010-13/ws2500 setup screen)

I hadn’t noticed it wasn’t working to be honest it looked great right from the begining to me as my solar sensor has a few problens with the readings, it seems to miss out a lot of readings so it takes longer to update anyway  I have noticed that I seem to be missing a lot of data though for the last few updates, for instance I left WD running all night and in the morning I only had about 35 data recieves and that was after forcing it in the morning. I’ve downloaded O now anyway so I’ll let you know if thats improved. The daily averages seem to have greatly improved though too I have proper readings for them by the looks of it
Just a quick question is that screen shot there for the WS2500? My graph is a lot more blocky than that if you know what I mean.

hi
actualy thats of a ws2500 PC, which has every minute data (much better)
you can purchase just the separate data logger , and it will work with your sensors

re the received number:
that sounds right, as its only 1 received count increase every 15 minutes for the ws2500 console (its silly they dont have the same every minute data like the ws2500 pc does)

Ah cool I didn't know that, I'll have a look into them, thanks!

Yeah I know it only does 15 mins but there always seemed to be more data than that, and when I was watching the data report screen it would sit and do the…

“Ackl, stopping timer
getting data
Ackl, stopping timer
Retrying
get data click
Ws2500 timer on
Ackl, stopping timer
getting data
Ackl, stopping timer
Retrying”

thing for about a minute before it was due to and then more often than not it would end up “no more data available”. Doesn’t look too bad this morning though I’ll see how it goes.

I’m guessing the reason the why Lacrosse set data log at every 15 minutes instead of every minute is due to power reasons. The solar cells in the sending units may not be able to keep up with the power drain if it were sending every minute… or at least would not make it through the night.

hummm, i dont think so…
i have had a sensor in a room in a box, and it still would send data…

but who knows…

i am not even sure if it does not just send data every minute anyway…or if it has to be requested to send the data …to receive it…

in any case, the same sensors work with the ws2500pc, and they work OK,no reports of not enough power over night that i have heard of…
