If you could do it over again…would you go wireless or wired?
I have a wireless. I’m not sure what option I would pick. I liked the convenience, but at the same time I can remember the times I was pulling the hair out of my head when a sensor stop’d being picked up!
I’m wired and given the choice I would go wired everytime - I only wish wired versions of the VP could cope with as many extra sensors as the wireless version though. That would be the ultimate for me.
Mine are wireless, I’ve had some issues, bought a repeater for the one station where the ISS is 100 feet from the house, but I would go wireless again. For me running wires would be a major project, compared to getting the wireless running OK.
Having said that, it’s a hobby for me, if I was running a real scientific project it would be wired.
Ive only lost wireless connection once WX. which is better then wireless networking which i occassionaly loose signal once a week. but for winter im considering attaching the cables so i dont have to worry about the batteries freezing or changing them to lithium. WS-2315.
