Brian: I know we’ve had this conversation before, and it’s taken some months for my power to stay up long enough for me to me able to raise it again, but is it possible to fix the windows uptime info? Seems to overflow about 48 days, so right now my real uptime (from the microsoft utility) is:

you will have to talk to bill gates about that one
the problem is the variable used to store the time eventualy gets too big after 48 days and then starts again from zero
nothing i can do about that
but , looking at it some more, i will use a 64 bit based variable instead…so there is more headroom
that might fix it
Bill’s utility http://www.microsoft.com/ntserver/nts/downloads/management/uptime/default.asp? works (for XP too although it’s not listed) so hopefully the 64 bit variable will fix it
