A couple of days ago the system tray (one on bottom of right of screen) ICON for WD when the screen is “shrunk” has dissapeard and in its place is a two digit number taking up the same space on the tray, I presumed that an “.ICO” file had vanished or gone corrupt so I loaded 10.12r but still same, this won’t stop the world if I don’t fix it, but wonder if anyone else has had this happen or knows of an easy fix.
I thought this was working as designed - it seems to display the current temperature as its icon in the System Tray. I’ve never seen otherwise - except as it starts up and has no data to display.
Hi Bill,
Thats interesting, you are right, the number now appearing is the Temp. rounded of to an int. but up to a couple of days ago it was a minature version of the main desktop Icon, it will be interesting to see if Brian has any comment on this.

It’s probably still there, but turned off. Go to setup, then control panel. In the control panel click on units/other settings. On the bottom right, look for “update icon with temperature” and make sure that is not checked. That should bring back the wd icon you’re used to seeing.
Hi Jim,
Thanks a lot that was the answer.
Robert
