Surely he can’t be selling things? Maybe you should look and see what’s going on at:
That’s quite some gadget. And we are all here because we love gadgets.
However, I have had a weather string tied to my watch band for some time. Works pretty good too. When the string is wet, it’s raining. Flapping, it’s windy, stiff, its freezing, warm, it’s sunny, etc. Very low maintenance too.
Now, can the watch interface to WD so we can record the history and graphs?

And preferably via something snazzy like blue-tooth :thumbleft:
COOL! toy.
Here’s the watch I wear:
The special occasions/birthdays feature keeps me from being divorced.

I was waiting to see how long it would take for someone to ask for WD integration. I’m disappointed because it took about 150 minutes longer than I thought it would
The watch only has one mechanism for getting data into WD. It’s a rival technology to Bluetooth…it’s called the Human Digit Input Device.
Do you mean this one at
I don’t know. The ones I’m getting are branded as Huger (i.e. Oregon Scientific) rather than WeatherMaster. The spec and design are very similar, but not having seen the other watch I can’t honestly compare them.
Now that you’ve pointed out that there is something similar available at a lower price I guess I’ve got a set of watches that no-one will want to buy. What started out as an attempt to do something interesting and useful for the community here looks like it’s turned into an expensive mistake. I’d have to sell them at a loss now to get rid of them
I’ll go and crawl back into my hole now and try and find something useful and inexpensive to do.
i think its a neat looking thing…
i have a kestral 4000 myself, but you have to remember to take it with you!
having a weather station as a watch means you always have it with you!
i just had my birthday though…
but i might look at getting one from you chris…as donation for all the hard work you do with providing this forum!
Sorry, didn’t realise you had actually spent the money! I thought from your post you were still “negotiating” the purchase.
That just goes to show how expensive assumptions can be.
