I started building this custon screen to mimic the Weater Banner.gif file and when I returned to do more work half of it is off the top of the screen and I can not get to it to move it?
that can happen if you leave the screen with it scrolled down…
you can reposition the objects back down via the settings in the ini file
i.e
[Custom view]
and reset, increase the y value … i.e the top position (you see a left (thats the x) and a top (thats the y)
also, to use downloaded metar tags, you need to tick to use those downloaded aiport metar tags , in the custom setup (see under ftp/internet setup)
Ok. This is coming along. Now a couple more questions. Shouldn’t the icon gif from the main GUI be the same as the one on the custom screen?
Also how do you change the size of the custom screen? I want it to be about the same size of the Weatherbanner.gif .
i theory it should be the same…
it looks like its using one of you own icons you have set ? (via input daily weather)
now, resize:
you should be able to drag the corner of the window screen to make it smaller
it that does not budge, then right mouse click, and make sure you have toggled to not show something that is visible still…i.e draw the window so its really big, and you most likely see that object still visible,toggle that obecjt via the right mouse click so that its not visible anymore
then you should be able to resize the window smaller
i gave a reply about the use of the downloaded metar tags
you need to tick to enable to use downloaded airport metar tags ,in the custom web page setup (under setup, control panel, ftp/intrnet setup)

note, you are free to do alot with the custom screen… 
you can add a web cam image, and downloaded sat image, have a auto scale graph on there…
the Q is, why is your main screen icon for clear night not showing your replaced icon that have in use
also, why not design your own weather banner instead of duplicating WD’s one down to a tee?

My question is - how do you delete an image or other object you’ve placed on a custom screen? I’m sure it’s easier than I’m making it out to be…

I have no idea where that smiley face is coming from as I have never selected it as a replacement icon. The reason I duplicated the view is I like it. You did a good job on that form so why change what looks good.

I had this same question. When you select the custom image from the list it’s like a toggle with an implied check mark beside it (even though you can’t see it). If you go reselect the custom image tag you originally selected it will turn it off. All the custom tags in the list are toggles in that when you select them they turn on and when you select them again they turn off. Brian said he may put check marks beside them so we know which ones we have used.
Ahh, thanks, Rupp! Brian, FWIW, a check mark would be a BIG help; it’s hard, too, to remember which Custom Tags you’ve used so far or where you left off.
