Weird WD update graphics on Vista

I’m sure this has something to with my PC I am viewing from ( Vista 32 with IE8 ) just recently, and I didn’t notice if an update caused it or not…when I view my weather website…The data updates fine, but as it would normally turn a lime green color while doing the update, and then revert back to black text…now it just stays lime green after doing the first update, which is every 5 seconds…any ideas what might be set wrong on this vista machine…it doesnt do this on my work computer with XP, flashes green then goes back to black until the next update??? Any one experience this and figure out what causes it???

IE8 issue as with FireFox on Vista it acts as expected…

I’ve been running Vista ultimate since before even setting up the weather website…and been running IE8 since it was introduced as beta…only recently noticed this behaviour…and it does not do it in the version of firefox I am running…

You need to update both ajaxWDwx.js and ajaxgizmo.js scripts to support IE8 in ‘native mode’.

See this post for more info.

Ken…I copied and pasted the code, and it appears that I am not updating at all now…I will dig further but if you see my errors please let me know…and Thanks for the tips.

Ended up replacing with a back up for both files for the time being…I couldn’t find the problem…but something caused updates to stop working…

Wess,
If you’d prefer, you can download a fresh copy from:

http://saratoga-weather.org/template/WD-USA/ajaxWDwx.js and
http://saratoga-weather.org/template/WD-USA/ajaxgizmo.js

Then just customize your new ajaxWDwx.js to have the same settings area as your old one, and it should work fine.

Best regards,
Ken

Thanks Ken, I found my mistakes and got it working properly now…After doing the WDwx update and upload, my gizmo appeared to be working properly also…but I did update the code in the gizmo.js file anyway…Again Thanks so much for your relentless support.
