After running smoothly for weeks, since last night the website stopped updating.
The files are still updated locally on in the webfiles folder on the harddisk, but they don’t get uploaded anymore. Honestly, nothing was touched in WD for this to happen. I leave it running all the time, without touching it.
I have set WD to upload every 5 minutes, but nothing happens. Also when i try ‘upload all’ or when i press the ‘now’ buttons, nothing happens. The internet connection is fine, and also the ftp where everything gets uploaded is working fine.
Two hours ago i restarted my PC to make sure all is well inside windows and WD, but all seems to be working fine. Files get updated properly in the webfiles folder, so i’m not sure what to try next.
Some additional info from the ftp server that WD uses:
TYPE A
200 TYPE is now ASCII
PORT 192,168,0,3,5,176
200 PORT command successful
STOR clientraw.txttmp
500 Unknown command
141: 500 Unknown command
File uploaded at time :15:53:26
RNFR clientraw.txttmp
550 Sorry, but that file doesn’t exist
141: 550 Sorry, but that file doesn’t exist
This message keeps repeating. Not sure what it means, and why it happens though
I noted that too, but as i said, i didn’t do a thing to the computer that runs the weather station and WD. I have to say that the problem solved itself around midnight. Apparantly, WD does some sort of a reset (at least i think it does…). It is updating fine every 5 minutes now.
So, i don’t know what happened and what was changed around midnight, but it worked. I haven’t touched it, so it is self servicing
Nothing in my log… On my WD, the items in the Custom upload section work fine but the ones in the FTP/Internet section (where I have to put some things that are not listed in Custom) do not. I could solve this if there was a way to add items of your own choosing in the Custom section, by the way, as I woud not then need the FTP/Internet section to be able to do that…
Yes, the General section. Version 10.19r. It works fine if I click on send now, but does not work automatically if I put times in the upload time list. It’s worked fine this way for years until about two versions ago…
maybe email me your settings files and i will test/check here
(click on action, back up registry entry now, then email me the files wdisplay.ini and wdisplayftp.reg, from the folder databackup)
