Any chance of integrating a weathercam window into the flash page in lieu of creating a hyperlink to another page for it?
This feature would certainly be awesome and complement the current weather icon display beautifully… am I dreaming or can it be done in a future release?

actualy, you can add html code to the flash page
and so have a web cam image shown on the flash page
i.e, the flash page can be smaller even, and be part of another web page

What resolution should I use for the background jpeg… is there a standard everyone is using these days (1600 x 1200?)

Couple of immediate reasons - WDL, if set to a percentage, can be resized. This isn't easy to achieve with a static background image - it can 'tile' which may look odd. Secondly you don't want the image make foreground text hard to read. Background images work best if they are slightly faded so look more like a watermark. Another problem, as you mention is the resolution. If you go with a big picture those viewing on small monitors will see only a part of the image and the file size will be very large. Too small and the background may tile.
