hi
i recommend you could use the custom screen option in WD
and then you can create your very own one
(right mouse click on the custom screen to toggle on/off things, and click/drag to position things, and hold down the ctrl key to reize things), and there are custom tags to use , and a special custom tag to add your own title, words, etc
and the it can be set to upload as customscreen.gif

Brian, hey this sounds good, need to check this out !
amazing your WD !!!
best regards
vossen

sorry but i do have a question, about the customscreen.
where can i fix the size of the total image > lets say i want a banner 120*60 pixel.
and where can i find costumscreen 2 and 3, i do not see them in the webfiles> like costumscreen 1.

best regards
vossen

you resize the custom screen window when it is open - the size of that window will be the size of the customscreen.gif when it is created - like mine below.

under view, custom screenā€¦there is a spin button, so you can select to view and setup up to 3 custom screens
(actualy there is up to 10 available, but that was for a tv station)

bristolwx thanks but when i resize it, at a momment the scrolling bar pops in and thats it.
all area is blank arround> so i do not see why it adds a scrolling bar :frowning:
any idea?

windy i find the place where to tick up to 10 costums pictures on, the tv thing is still going on? > or you can open it for the humble average user to creat one customs screen after a other one
so lets see when it creates the two new costums screens to webfiles, as i do not see them yet.

best regards
vossen

ps> sorry when iā€™m a pain, but this software is just to great, to ignore all this great options

i got it bristolwx i got it !
THANK YOU

all area is blank arround> so i do not see why it adds a scrolling bar Sad any idea?
that will be bcause something is still visible try toggling off the web image or turn that on, then move that to your working area, then re toggle that off again.... that one tends to be a pain like that (and or try making the screen area much bigger)

re more than 3:
i will have to ask someone about that if i can open it up
(but send me a PM and I will tell you how to open it up)

glad to help vossen, I expect you had to scroll up to the top to see anything?

as for getting WD to create the actual customscreen gifs, when you right click to get the large menu - select ā€œset update/upload times to webpageā€ and another window will appear - you select the times you wish to upload, say every 15 minutes and set the switch to ā€œgreenā€.

your custom screens should then get uploaded.

what are you guys doing up so late/so early?

slaving away on a nightshift Brian

late? EARLY > i need to be allready at work

i gone check all of this out tonight, upload time is ok > for costumescreen 1 but 2 or 3 are still not doneā€¦mhā€¦i hook 1/2/3 in the screen sliteshow.
or i miss something here too?
toogling screenā€¦i been able to reduce costumscreen 1 to the size i need > but when i reopen this costumscreen > i need to resize it again > it does not keep the settings.

windy > tahnks for the offer, i will check out first 1-3 and then i see what i realy need, perhaps itā€™s ok with 1-2 en-de > need to see, first i need to learn to make 1-3 creating/uploading and looking good

nice day or night all!

re the window size
email me your settings files so i can check it out
click on action, then back up registry now, then email me the files wdisplay.ini and wdisplayftp.reg from the folder databackup
(that will be the 5 th person today I need to help with settings (i.e i have no time left for programing)

do this with the custom screens:
toggle the , show web window ON
then make the screen real large
then move the web window up to the top area (with the button to click on to move the web window)
then make the web window smaller (hold down the ctrl key while resizing it)
then right mouse click to hide the web window again
then all should be OK
Cheers
