Weather station html file not updating

Brian,

My weather station HTML file was last updated on May 11 at 9:00 PM (using version 10.10i). Since then, I’ve loaded almost every new version, but the html file has stayed static (both in the webfiles folder and on my web page). I have tried toggling just about every web setting to see if I can shake it loose, but so far no cigar. For a long time the datahtm1.txt file was also static, but that has started updating now - just no refresh of “weather.html” (my setting). I tried changing the name on the web setup (the “weather station file name” setting) to “weatherx”, and that caused a new gif (weatherx.gif) to be created, but no weatherx.html file. I’ve run out of things to try - any ideas?

email me your settings files, and i will have a look see
(wdisplay.ini from c:\windows or c:\winnt)
and
wdisplayftp.reg from the folder databackup, after going action,back up registry entry now

Html not updating at times between 16:45 and 18:32 on main unit uploads every 15 minutes, and gave the following in the ftplog (using 10.12m)

i checked my web folder at this time and found that several files had not updated since the 17:00 upload this explains missing files in ftp but not why they are not created, i then restarted WD (forgot to look at program error log). the backup unit appears to of worked ok through this time and is set to upload hourly at 23mins past the hour.
something i did notice was that the screen did not do it usual tick at upload time and it took longer to start the upload

hi ok, i see the problem, by the looks in the custom web page setup, in the ftp/internet setup, you have the custom web page ticked but you also have ticked use my normal web page name so, do you have a file called wxlocal.html , in the web files folder, with the custom web page tags in that? if not, then turn off the custom web page switch.... try that Cheers Brian

When I turned off the main switch on the Custom Web Page setup I also turned off my XML file updating. Now that I know how it works, I’m able to get both my regular web page, plus a dummy “custom” web page, and my wdfulldata.xml, all updating together - but it’s not all that intuitive. I apparently broke this originally when I tried to set up for the XML file and didn’t change any of the other settings on the setup tab, except to turn on the switch.

ok, yes…
but I recommend to use the customise internet creation and upload…
that way you have control over all the files, including the custom web page files and xml file
just dont forget to times to upload the files as well as create the files
