Does anyone have any suggestions on the purchase of a camera to get outdoor weather shots to upload to WD? I’d like to have something I can mount outdoors, w/o a housing, and possibly to be able to tilt/pan?

I recently purchased an X-10 Ninja model XC18A pan’n’tilt camera. I think it could be mounted outside, but I think it would need to be protected from direct rain hitting it. The camera is wireless, 2.4ghz, and comes with a remote control for pan’n’tilt.
Output from the video receiver is standard composite video, rca connector. The camera cost me $59. But to make it functional with WD I think would require the X-10 video-to-USB adapter (I don’t know the price) and possibly the X-10 software, I forget the name, maybe xvision, about $89.
The pan’n’tilt is fun to play with and works very well.
I’m still looking for a camera myself. I currently use an old creative webcam that cost me $20 years ago.
