The clientraw and the config file both appear to be correct and the page source looks good too. However can you check that the wdlv1_08.swf file is in the same directory? It seems to me that the file is never downloaded from the webserver. If the swf file is in the correct place it would seem that the webserver is not downloading it for some reason.
hi
maybe, try, having it all set to use the root directory instead?
try, ticking use these settings insead, in the real time ftp setup, and set the remote directory as the root…
(then restart the clientrawrealtimeftp.exe)
lt sounds suspiciously like the webserver won’t serve up swf files. This can happen sometimes when over zealous system administrators lock everything down! A quick way to check this would be to rename the extension from .swf to .txt or similar. Of course the display would be garbage but it would prove if it was webserver restrictions or not.
I had the same thing happen, and after checking my clientraw.txt file, the dag-gone thing was empty. (try deleting your clientraw.txt on the server) Something went out to lunch somewhere. Deleted the ‘empty’ clientraw.txt on my ISP server and it all started working again. WD was doing its thing, but my server side had a problem of replacing the file for some reason… :?
I re-downloaded the source files and re-uploaded them to my website but without success. My ISP’s comment was “… the .swf file is not working …”. Wrong. It works just fine on my home PC. I have gone back to them for more answers.
WDL is such a great-looking program that I am VERY frustrated I can’t get it working. I suspect the problem will turn out to be the responsibility of an over-zealous admin at my hosting service.
if you could email me direct, i will show you how to set up and use a ftp server i use, which you could use as a test (and set the use other settings client raw real time setup option to ftp the file to that server)
