WDL is distributed as an EXE. That’s OK for people wanting to install onto a MS based server, but not as useful for installing onto a Linux/Unix based server. Would it be possible to distribute the files in .ZIP format instead? Recent versions of Windows handle these files as compressed folders and most (all?) Linux/Unix distros are able to unpack ZIP files, so a ZIP file should suit most people.
Using a ZIP file would save me downloading the EXE to my local PC, running the EXE and then uploading the relevant files using FTP to my remote server. I could just download the ZIP file direct to the server and do all the work on there.
Just a thought.
I put it into a self extracting zip file so people without Winzip would be able to use it. For the next release I’ll ask Brian to put it on the website in both formats.

All versions of Windows from ME onwards and Windows 98 with the Plus! pack can handle ZIP files natively. I don’t know how many people are still running older versions than that?
