WD QT4 10.37k-b01 datalogger behavior at startup and hangs

On 2/21 I started WD QT4 10.37k-b00 7:24 local. I downloaded b01 and installed it 2/25 and started at 17:52 local. On startup the data logger is suppose to start the download and continue to the most current time, in this case it start the download at 2/23 - 23:05 and stopped downloading at 2/24 17:52. It over wrote the logfile with just the information downloaded and WD continued as normal.

I have also noted one to hangs against the serial VP 2 data logger and noted that data was still coming down the serial line but WD was not receiving – the data light flashed green/red and the data quality light was solid green and no change to any data was taking place. The hangs last anywhere from 5 minutes out to 40 minutes with the build 00. I will see what happens with build 01. I did see one run of Access Violations in the console log file.

Again, I think the interface is cleaner and the release much more stable.

Brian, note on the CWOP setup screen at the bottom there is a checkbox that does not show up and screen will not resize to show.

On initial startup the testtags.php file was being created and was not uploading until I went to the Customize page screen and resaved it. Once that was done the uploads started every 5 minutes.

Keep up the great work.

After a restart this morning due to upgrading Linux, I saw this odd behavior with CWOP, where the pressure shows a drop (see line 011530z below) and then for the next 45 minutes it shows the regular pressure not the VP Altimeter pressure and things go back to normal. If you look at http://weather.gladstonefamily.net/site/AT059 you can see the data graphed for March 01.

I looked at the Weather Underground data and found some old data. It looks like after a restart the data used to populate CWOP, mysql and Weather Ground is not refreshed to the most current data. The CWOP pressure from the VP is not using the raw data initially.

I have notice that if I restart every three days or so, the data logger will download correctly but if the time frame is 4 days or more the data logger download will not start at the correct time or end at the right time.
