For the 2nd time WD has crashed during the night. It seems to continue to collect, display and upload data but the web cam stops working. A restart of WD fixes the web cams. Here is the error message.

Sorry, should have included that. WD version 10.31c. Webcam is a Logitech QuickCam Pro USB. Running XP on a computer dedicated to WD. Memory usage of WD is normally around 48Meg. Just added that info to my signature in case I forget it next time 
maybe check the web cam settings.,…maybe you have ticked to reset the web cam daily ?
(try unticking that)
also check the file programerrorlog.txt
as it will give the time when the error occured, which might give some clues
also if you have ticked to free the memory daily under help, about weather display,. then untick that

that looks like a internet connection lost or similar
you might have wd set to do things like fast mesomap updating, or live web cam streaming, or TCP client or http fast downloading etc etc
(its a bit hard to know which one it will be, but it will be some function you have set for WD to access the internet (separate to the ftp program))
I have no mesomaps being created or live web cam streaming. What about the following:

None of those have to do with a DNS error that I can see? We do see the same exact error each night for 3 nights. I will turn off the web cam and see if that makes a difference.
OK, I had turned my camera off. I now have the following error in the log.

I see errors in my errorlog similar to those and WD continues to run. I would try to narrow down the time of the crash and then find out what is happening at that time of the day on your computer.
Or try a 2nd bare instance of WD and see if it still crashes. There is a FAQ that describes how to do this without messing up your current install of WD. Just install WD and make the bare modifications required to get your site updating, no meso, no webcam, no metars, just the weather data from your station and the ftp settings.
I believe I may have figured it out. Seems it may have been my old webcam software. Once I removed it tyhe crashing stopped. I got a new cam for Xmas and installed it. We’ll see if it goes past midnight tonight without crashing. Thanks for your help!
Just thought I would throw out this update. Seems I have things running pretty stable now. WD has been on-line for 3 days with no crashing, access violations or reboots needed. It appears that most of my problems were with using an old webcam as when I unistalled it and installed my new Logitech Fusion webcam the access violations and crashes stopped. One thing I did notice is that I set my webcam captures to every 2 minutes instead of every minute and that seemed to stablize the alldayvideo creation process.
Thanks to everyone for their help… now it’s time to start “messin’” with it and see if I can get things screwed up again
