I have 10.13x generating a clientraw.txt. This is sent over a broadband always-on connection by the ClientRaw FTP to a webserver where is is served out at http://www.edgewatersports.com/weather/default.htm.
Most days, I have to stop the ftp process and wdisplay.exe and then restart wdisplay (which restarts the clientraw ftp process) because it has stopped producing the clientraw.txt file.
I can see the FTP process is running fine, posting the same stale clientraw.txt file from the weather station PC.
Sometimes it runs for days, others only hours. The processor is heavily used as it is not a powerful PC and its also running webcam software.
hi
when wd stops updating the clientraw.txt file (in the web files folder)
then check for any errors under view, program error log
also, check the time stamp on the file…to see if its update to date
and , also, try, deleting that file…and see if it gets recreated
The datestamp on clientraw doesn’t update - so the internal and external dates are the same. In fact, the graph in the main screen on wdisplay stops moving and sticks at the same time.
I will check the program error log next time it happens (is this also available on disk somewhere?).
hi
it sounds like if the main screen graphs are stopping, too, then there is a major melt down, and it should show up under view, program error log, and as the file, programerrorlog.txt
check there
