Wap

Hi All

I have created a wap folder in the server in order to upload two files: index.wml and index.html. Index.wml is automatically created and uploaded by WD and that is going ok. But under General FTP Functions, I created a #2 setup in order to upload, to the wap folder, index.html. Almost everyday, this index.html, instead of being uploaded to the wap folder, goes to the main folder, replacing my main index.html file. Is there anyone with the same problem?

Thanks

I currently have two folders in my IPS’s root; public_html and public_ftp. Occassionally my WD uploads to the root instead of public_html.

The main WD files are loaded where they supposed to be, but those files where I use the General FTP fuction is what I see in the root directory.

So to answer your question, Yes, I’ve had a similar situation.

sometimes the CWD (change directory) command fails,.,
when it does, i have the ftp program check if the file was index.html…if it was , then it does not upload that file

well, thats the theory…

now, i have not enabled that however for the general ftp upload…so I will have to do that

why do want a index.html going to the wap folder though??

My Nokia 8310, for instance, doesn’t open .wml files, bur opens .html files.

ah, ok…
but does it have to be called index.html then?
maybe give it a name like wap.html
and key that into the address in that cell phone?

Thanks, Brian, yes, it should work and I’m going to try it right now.
