As I wrote above, I think that is an unfortunate but inevitable result of the mph to knots, knots to mph conversions that take place along the way. The knots to mph conversion factor is not a nice round number so unless you carry a lot of decimal points the result is unlikely to be exact. Check this thread for a discussion of this same issue.
