VP Reception Graph drops to zero, but reception is good?

Hi guys,

I think I may have raised this issue before, but it is still a pain

I have good reception on my VP but the graph on WD drops out most days (but can be random) to zero…

It stays there until I restart Weather Display and then it picks it back up again.

I have turned the clear log function on and off, and the check time function etc etc

Is this a “feature” of Weather Display? or am I missing a trick :?

Thanks in advance

JK

hi have not seen this myself
(reception here is awlays around 97 to 99%

Where do you set up graphing for VP reception?

Same thing happens here…seems to work for a while then drops to zero. Can be seen on the real-time solar graph and I also use the %vpreception2% tag on my main web page. Both items show zero until I re-start WD. Does not seem to affect anything as far as gathering data from the ISS to the console.

Same thing happens here

There was a thread on the weathermatrix VP board a while ago with some comments about the VP2 producing strange packet count numbers. Maybe the data is strange? When the graph has dropped to zero what numbers does the custom tag report?

%vpreception2% will show 0% when the real time solar graph shows no reception.

Hi all,
Mine used to do that too in previous versions, since either 10.23n or maybe m I have not noticed the problem, my system usually runs at about 90-92%

After watching this happen to me a couple of times I have noticed that the total number of records on the graph is in the 4400-4600 range when it shows no reception. I hit the cleared records button. Interesting to note this time was that the tag for battery voltage dropped to zero before the reception % dropped to zero. Right after I cleared the records the battery voltage is good and the graph says 100% reception. So it appears the problem is with the record data.
