VP console with real time update

Interesting…there must be a way to do it somehow…I am running the Bertil script in my link in the templates :), but have been unable to get the weatherC version to do likewise :(, although it is working as a stand-alone page :)…

has anyone let Davis know about the work done here?

I don’t dare do that, maybe they want to be paid every time the image of console is displayed. :roll: 8O

I woud think it would be good promo for them

Talk about free advertising, maybe all that use this should get paid from Davis? 8O

I must admit to thinking the same… :roll: :roll:

I’ve seen the image (using Weatherflash) displayed on other sites for some years now and I don’t think Davis has bothered them.

Hi,

Has anyone made an image for the “original” Vantage Pro console? The buttons are gray instead of black. Just wondering for those that might have the older Vantage Pro series.

I finally got the VP2 console to work properly within my .NET website using the Saratoga templates…Phew…Interestingly I have just looked at the way Norcal Dan has done his and low and behold—the same methodology…mmm…I couldn’t get it to work properly any other way…

I used:

?>

<div align="center" style="height: 577px">
<?php Inserted within the main copy of a wxnewpage.php (then renamed of course) to required for the menubar.php etc... Maybe this will help others. Unfortunately, it still works best in "wide" though....more work to do :( If this coding is wrong in any way, please do not hesitate to respond. :wink:

And here I have VP2 console, remade to fit my Ajax side.
(and with my own photo).

Edit: can someone check out the page with Win XP and Win7,
(works fine with Safari and Mac)

Hi Bertil

Looks great in Firefox 3.6.

The background image is missing in IE8.

I use Windows 7 Home Premium.

Best regards,

Henrik

Concur that the background image is missing in IE8.

I have made a smaller version of the background image myself, to more readily fit the templates…However, my resizing and moving of all the texts seems to be taking forever…it isn’t easy :wink:.

Hi there,

Who can explain to`a software nono like me how to install a VP console on my site ?

Regards,

Bert

Hey guys, I am struggling to keep up with all these new scripts and add ons :roll: great stuff.
Small problem Axelvold’s works fine www.mad-weather.com/vp_console.php but Henkka’s version the forecast scrolls across the top www.mad-weather.com/vp_console2.php.

Bert, unzip the files, change the file paths to suit your testtags and clientraw files and upload the files to your website.

I’m very interesting about that project.
Is there any zip file to test it?
Regards,

Alessandro

Great script and I have it working but, how do I get “non metric” values - Inches, MPH, fahrenheit etc.???

Also, is there a way to turn off the 'forecast" scroller?? and display “temp in” and “Hum In” as opposed to “solar” and “UV”?

Many thanks!

Al

This is great! But its does works :frowning:
http://weerstationholwerdpier.nl/weer/live/vpconsole/vp_console2.php
Error with getting new data.

I have change:
$rawfile = “http://www.weerstationholwerdpier.nl/weer/live/clientrawextra.txt”;

And
var dataurl = ‘.http://www.weerstationholwerdpier.nl/weer/live/clientraw.txt’;
var imgdir = ‘.http://www.weerstationholwerdpier.nl/weer/live/vpconsole/img/’;

All the links are good. Whats wrong?
And the testtag.php, i need that? Or can i lave it.
