Noticed since recent WD updates that my VF reception graph sometimes drops to zero and stays there.
Even though I know that reception is good…
Not sure how many updates ago it started…
Any ideas???

I do know that when WD starts accessing the archive from the console it will greatly drop the reception . I think it does this because of the time lag as it searches for the last bit of data that is stored in the archive to mesh with its own database. But I am guessing this isn’t what is happening in your case.
See if you can catch the software doing that and see if the console has an “R” or an “L” in the lower right corner at the same time. IF it is then its a loss of signal , which happens sometimes , ’
I am guessing you are saying that this is happening while WD is running. and that sounds like a software problem. Brian? :roll:
I have noticed the same thing. The highest reception percentage listed on the WD graph for today is 17%. But the VP console shows that the reception rate is 93%.
Mine is fine at 93%.
How many other goodies are you running , i.e. other options. I wonder if something is interfering with the reception recording.
How are your readings /values compared to your console values. Such as wind, temp, humidity, etc? and can you pin point what time of the day are the values dropping? Have you tried restarting the program or rebooting the computer? Just incase something in the stacks that is hanging on.
I think you will have to check what variables are happening during the bottom out time.
Right now I am still having the uv/solar showing up within WD at night values on the graphs.

I flushed the archive (via WD) and it is now running at 100% reception
I do have it set to clear at 6.00am every day, so maybe a co-incidence
Anyways… It has cleared it for now.
The strange thing is it has only started in the last 2 weeks, and the reception on the console is good. So it is definately WD’s interpretation of the reception.
Not a show stopper, but I do use the reception monitor, I will keep an eye
on it…

I use the custom tag to put the actual numbers on the webpage.
when i was getting reception problems (not now), there was a quite a lag in the graph getting back up…
