Understanding data logger

Back again for another question - sorry to bother you guys…

At the present time, I need to turn my computer off at night (until I build a dedicated box for WD).

I’ve been doing some research here for a while, and this is what I have gathered.

For WS-2310
First, I set the history capture interval in Heavy Weather to 5 minute intervals. I then opened data logger in WD, and set that for 5 minute samples. I also set my baro offset to 14 as suggested on a thread as a starting point. I made sure that “pad out missed data” was set to “no”.

So, when I turn on my computer in the morning, and start WD, am I going to get the readings for what happened overnight? Or is this all not possible - will I have to live without data while the machine is off?

Thanks

hi
it should work…
as long as you have the switch set to yes, to download the data, in the data logger setup
but, also set the data recording interval to 5 as well (the pad out the data interval)
the ws2310 stores 175 or so data points…

I tried that set up.
Ever since I turned the logger switch “on”, the current graphs etc stopped updating. Seemed like everything froze. So I turned the logger back off for the time being until I figure out what I might have set wrong.

one thing to check, is that the time and data on the console are correct (i.e match the PC time and date)

Yes, they match exactly. I did not have WD synchronize the clocks though.
