Just wondering why I show 3.1 hours of sunshine today on and overcast and dreary day when the max w/m2 only showed a max of 158 ??

humm
the sunshine hours should only add up if the solar% goes over the threshold you have set in the solar setup
(and also check if you need to untick use daylight saving)
what do you have the threshold for sunshine hours set to?
the default is 85%
also, with the blue wave sensor, it tends to max out easily (which is why i add that offset), but i have found i have to increase that % reading adjust as the season has gone on…

The “sunny” was set at 75 % so I changed that to 85 % and I’ll let you know how I make out. I also have the "Adjust factor for VP wm/2 (%) set at 47.

Hi Brian

Ok, it’s 8 am and the high wm/2 for the day is “8” and the High Solar percentage for the day is 31 % and I already have .8 hours of sunshine. I increased the “for sunny” to 85 % and I set the “adjust for VP” back down to 40 %. By the way, it’s completely overcast again this morning.

it might be that i have it that wd does increase the solar reading for hald an hour around sun rise or set
but that i should only be implementing for temperature sensors for solar
so i will take it out for other types

Hi Brian

I don’t know if this helps or not, but the the solar bar graph on the “Destop” image is reading about 40% solar while the “Solar” graph at the bottom right of the page is reading 100 %. I wonder if I’m the only one having this proble. I had a max wm/2 for the day of 244 which should only be about 25 - 35 % of the max. I don’t have the program handy to figure the max solar radiation for given times of the day and I wasn’t home to check it in the program.

HI Brian

I know you haven’t done any thing for my sunshine hours, but I just installed 1018y and I have the same thing. Overcast
and the MAX solar value for lat/long is 249, I’m showing 154 wm/2 and I have 100 % sunshine. Looks to me like it should be about 61 % sunshine. Is anyone else seeing this and does anyone have any suggestions ??

Just tried decreasing the “Adjust for VP” and the wm/2 will decrease, but the solar % is still reading 100 %. Is there someplace else that it is adjusted ?? Strange :?
I think I remember that with the Jennings solar sensor there was a place that you could adjust that.
